Private Eye

Private Eye is a maze solver coding game. By constructing a single piece of code, the player must direct the main character, Private Eye, through a series of mazes to victory. We built this project on Microsoft's MakeCode platform for our client, Microsoft Research.

My Role

  • Iteratively designed levels to optimize player experience
  • Programmed various parts of the game's backend logic
  • Designed sprites and animations for the main character

Character Design & Illustration

The main character Private Eye, is a spy robot who follows instructions based on the player's code. I started off by sketching as many designs as I could think of.
